SUMMER!

FINALS ARE DONE!
HAVE YOU EVER READ SOMETHING TYPED IN ALL CAPS AS THE PERSON SHOUTING IT? ME TOO!

Now what to do for the next two months?

I know I'll be going to a band camp to get ready to be a drum major next fall. That's right. I'm not just a band geek any more, I'm the leader of the band geeks.

I also want to put in a plenty of time at work. I'm sick of being broke all the time.

Now to decide what video game I want to play now.

Maybe I should do one of those slender man blogs...

Finals are no fun.

Sorry about the infrequency of my posts. No one reads this anyway, so I don't really care. I just have nothing interesting to talk about. Happy father's day to my dad and all the other dads out there. You guys rock. And congrats to everyone who graduated, whenever graduation is at wherever the heck you go to school.

Now I need to think of something to talk about.

I never get tired of rubbing in my brother Kevin's face that I have like three more half-days of school because of finals and he has three and a half whole days. Suck it, junior high kids. And by it, I totally mean a popsicle. Because of how hot it's been lately, everyone should have popsicles. Yes blogger, popsicle is a word. Popsicle.

POPSICLE.

Summer, movies, flash, and things.

It was a dark and stormy night.
Tim was posting to his blog for the first time in almost two weeks.

Actually the storm is pretty much over. Thank god. Now on to my several topics.

Summer. It's almost here. And how better to celebrate than by asking my mom if I can drive everywhere we go? You see, I just got my learner's permit. And now I need to drive for at least 35 hours before I can test for my driver's license. And it shall be a long summer.

Next subject. Movies. This is sort of a two-parter, like a lot of movies that are coming out. Speaking of two part movies, Harry Potter? Good idea. Twilight? Bad idea. Twilight sucks.

Movies in theaters. It shall be the early summer of awesome movies. Green Lantern, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hangover 2, Harry Potter 7 part 2, and so many more. Pirates and hangover got mixed reviews from what I hear, but it's not going to keep me away. This could even lead to the start of that review blog I was talking about.

MY movies. I want to make one. You see, I got this idea from a class project. My teacher wants us to do an adaptation of a scene from Romeo & Juliet. I figured, why not adapt the entire play, film, and put it on my YouTube? So I shall. I'm making Romeo & Juliet, but in a high school setting. Should be interesting. Script is being written, periodical updates on the status of the project here. This concludes movies.

Flash. Like adobe flash. I can't decide whether to FILM the movie with my sucky video camera, or animate it. I'll try to get some insight on this and upload it here.

Now that's enough. Goodbye for now, internet. And I'm officially out of ideas for quotes.

Long Weekend

Now, I've been busy still, but hopefully I'll be posting more often soon. Now, some things to talk about. Like my exciting life and stuff.

Monday's Memorial Day! You rock troops, for giving us a long weekend. And serving the country's awesome too. So yeah, you rock.

Me? I rock too. I'm marching in two parades on Monday and I barely remember the music. Wish me luck. I want ice cream, because it has been really warm lately, so hopefully it won't rain or anything, because the band goes to get ice cream after the parade.

Speaking of ice cream, my dad's starting to make some as I'm typing this. It's gonna be Root Beer flavor, so if you've seen the name of my blog you know I'm excited. It'll probably be ready by tomorrow or Sunday.

Making ice cream is sort of a hobby of my dad's, he even blogs about it at Scott's Scoop. Check it out.

Speaking of checking things out, check out my new video game commentary channel on YouTube. It's called The Fiery Squirrel. You should probably check out the rest of Nom Nom Network too. And Muffin Studios.

Speaking of speaking of things, I'm done advertising myself and my brothers' videos, so you can actually read this part.

I like root beer. And ice cream. And hopefully root beer ice cream.

The End of the World and Wild Mice

I'll start with the wild mice part. I went to funtown today with the math team, it was physics day there, but the only thing physics related for me at least was gravity, momentum, and centrifugal force from riding the wild mouse nine times. Because I'm awesome. There's a lot of other good rides there too, and I'll ride almost anything that's not a roller coaster. My taste in rides changes *snaps fingers* just like that.

World ends tomorrow, make sure to wear clean underwear. To be honest, I don't buy into this whole rapture thing. Or religion in general. I just have trouble believing things that can't be proven. So I better get ready to be eaten by demons.

Not Feeling So Hot

Yeah, I think it's probably allergies, I don't have a fever. I had better feel better by tomorrow, because the drama club's going to Portland to see a play. Should be fun.

So yeah. Life. I have one. The main reasons I haven't been posting are because I've had a lot of homework, for one. I also have started taking driver's ed. I drive for the first time on Friday, so if you live near me, I advise you to stay off the road.

Speaking of Friday, did anyone see Glee last night? They made that song sound kind of good. The lyrics still suck, but it's better with a better singer, because if you haven't noticed this already, Rebecca Black CAN'T F**KING SING.

I also want to rave about this awesome game I got last week. It's called Minecraft. Basically what you do is you mine resources and you build stuff and you kill bad guys and it. Is. AMAZERING!

So, that's pretty much it for now. I'll post again when I have something worth talking about.

Band Geek Road Trip Recap

EDIT WHICH BECOMES ENTIRE POST: Finally have the time to fill this in.

First day was all travel, but still some cool stuff to talk about. The bus had a DVD player built in, so we watched a few movies, like Inception, which is like one of my favorites out there. We also stopped at a few rest stops on the way, like at this mall in Connecticut where they had a merry-go-round. Which I rode. Don't be hatin'. Now, we had a few of these, but we finally got there around like 11:30 at night and went straight up to the hotel rooms.

Next day was Jamestown settlement. They had all kinds of things, like what the colony looked like, a bunch of ship replicas, and even someone demonstrating how to use a musket. We took pictures, but I forgot my camera, and they probably won't end up anywhere but Facebook. I will not link to my Facebook page because I don't want to be added by random strangers. And then there was lunch. And then we went to the REAL Jamestown. Where they have the actual buildings still. It's a national park, you know. And my friend Maddie bought a Native American headdress, and gave us all Native American names. Call me Fiery Squirrel Who Flies. And then we performed and did really well. Fourth in Concert Band, Third in Jazz Band.

Day three. Busch Gardens. Epic. Except waiting while my group went on all the roller coasters. Like when the Loch Ness Monster broke down, I was stuck outside with the backpacks for like two hours. The awards ceremony was even inside the park. Oh yeah! There was a Band Competition during the trip! Now may be a good time to mention that we got first in Parade Band. Busch Gardens is awesome. I won't deny it.

Fourth day had as little to report as the first. Even less. We just came home.

Yesterday I got out of school because I was tired I mean SICK. I WAS SICK. So I worked on this big stressful paper that's due tomorrow, and got it done.

Now for some closing things. I'm starting driver's ed next week and I'm super excited. I'm gonna learn to drive a car, ho can I not be excited?

And I'll be getting serious about being a critic, as soon as I find something released recently enough to review. I'll make a separate blog for that when I feel like it.

Williamsburg!

EDIT: Quote has been edited in now. Finally have some free time.

So, today's the big day. Williamsburg, Virginia! If you live around there, we're performing at Bruton High School at 6:30 PM tomorrow. Don't miss it!

Now what have I not already talked about?

Oh right. We also get to see this place that is made to look like the Jamestown settlement, which should be interesting. And then there's Busch Gardens on Saturday. I'm not a big fan of roller coasters, personally, but I'm going to ride any that don't go upside-down or backwards or unnecessarily high. I spelled unnecessarily right on my first try. I'M A GENIUS!!!!!

Today's going to just be a travel day, which could be fun or boring, depending on who you ask. Some kids have to study for their AP tests next week. I'm hoping it doesn't keep them from having a good time.

Well, like I said I have to leave soon. I can't post there because it's highly unlikely that I will have access to a computer. I'll update my twitter, so if you really care that much, check my twitter gadget here on teh blog or follow me @tim95f.

So Excited!

Break Almost Over? :(

Well, either way, happy earth day.

Now you're probably wondering what stories of awesomeness I have that occurred over the week. Well, actually, I've done a whole lot of nothing so far.

Or have I? I just got a text from my friend Kaitlyn (I've mentioned her before, she has the blog Life, Living, and Poetry) inviting me to go to the movies with some of our other friends. So I might not have another boring April Break at home. Excited face!

I also want to take the time to rave about this new CD I bought earlier this week. It's the soundtrack to the Broadway show American Idiot. Now, I was a little skeptical at first, but then a week or two ago the color guard performed to a song off of this (21 Guns, to be specific). And it. Was. AMAZING. I had to get it. Being a huge fan of Green Day, I still thought it would be weird without Billie Joe singing it, but I got it and then it was awesome! I hear it will be a movie, which is a must-see for me when it comes out. you're probably wondering why to get this if you already have the original album. Well, reason one: there are several songs on it that weren't on the original, like several off of "21st Century Breakdown," (including combining one with an American Idiot song to make it sound completely different (in a good way), but I don't want to say which so I don't spoil it), two B-sides released in Europe, and another song that Billie Joe wrote when he was 19 but never actually recorded. Reason two: the new voices make the songs sound amazing. Reason three: oh don't just take my word for it, either see the show or buy the CD. 5 stars!

Wow. I should be a critic. I should start a blog where I just review stuff. I'll think it over.

April Break!

The title explains it all... it's April break! I get this whole week off from school!

Now, I honestly don't know what I will be doing this week. I know I'm going to a Cake concert at the State Theater in Portland on Saturday, but that's pretty much the only thing set in stone so far. Might make plans.

There's really not that much to talk about, since I already went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about going to Williamsburg next week.

How do you like my new twitter gadget, by the way? Yeah, I know it doesn't fit in the box, but there's nothing I can really do about that. Unless there is.

I also want to post a quick link here to a skit I'm in on YouTube. About cookies. It's wonderful, only my brother Kevin is a terrible cameraman. My face isn't shown throughout like half of the video. Oh well.

Anyone know if there's a way to embed flash games on Blogspot? If not, I'll just put them somewhere else and put a link. If I didn't hate Newgrounds so much, I would upload it there...

Oh whatever.

I Crave Pizza Rolls.

You know, those things with sauce and cheese that you put in the microwave. I think I might make some after I finish this post.

So, I have a band concert tonight. We play at the junior high school, it's called band madness. It's the director's way of combining the high school and junior high bands. I play clarinet normally, so I'm not too nervous about it. But what I'm worried about is jazz band. I'm still not fully accustomed to playing the baritone sax, but I'm going to try my best. I'll have to play it in Williamsburg soon, which we will be judged on. More on that next. We're also playing for the junior high kids on Friday morning, getting me out of class for a while, lucky me.

Williamsburg. We're competing there soon, on the Thursday after April break we leave. Are YOU from Williamsburg, Virginia? If so, we compete at 6:30 at Bruton High School. Be there, sil vous plait!

What else should I talk about? Oh yeah. I think I'll tell you something about myself that most of you invisible readers do not already know. I'm pretty much obsessed with anything Slender Man related. I'm even thinking of starting one of those story blogs. Will post link here if I decide to do it.

Now, time for some pizza rolls...

3 shows Down, One To Go!

Sorry for not posting for so long! My life has been so busy lately!

Like Voldemort's soul, this post comes to you in seven parts!

First, I actually don't know how many parts this will be. John Green says that sometimes, and as a nerdfighter, I felt the need to quote him. Don't know what I'm talking about? Click this link and you will.

Second, and one of the reasons I haven't posted in a while. I had a math team state meet on Tuesday, and got out of class all day! Success face! We did alright. I think I lost us both relay rounds...

Third, I had dress rehearsals Monday and Tuesday night, and those went well!

Fourth! The show is going well! I have one last show tonight, and then I think I'm done for the year. What will I do now? Maybe driver's ed, or possibly a job!

Fifth, Another band event coming up! Band Madness! We have jazz band concert band, marching band, and even a combination of the high school and junior high band! It will be exciting! Next thursday night at wells jr high! Don't miss it!

Sixth, I'm trying to write a song, but it's a secret! Shh!

Seven. I can't think of a seventh part. Oh, wait, this is the seventh part! Victory is mine!

And eight, my closing, and my song quote. So it's REALLY like voldemort's soul: It comes to you in eight parts! I'm switching to movie quotes for a while because I'm running out of song quotes. I have a poster in my room that has the 101 greatest movie quotes of all time, that will last a while!

Day off!

No school today! Happy face!

Sorry for not posting in a while, I've been busy with school and band, and the play, which opens on Wednesday. We're just about ready, still got some dress rehearsals next week. We were supposed to rehearse today, but it got cancelled because mother nature, after two really nice almost-spring days, pulls her cruel idea of an April fools joke and gives us a snowstorm.

On a somewhat related note, I've been looking into the "Dark Side of the Rainbow" theory. For those of you nonexistent readers who don't know what that is, it's the theory that Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" was written as an alternative soundtrack for the original 1939 movie "The Wizard of Oz." I've actually googled it and found a whole Wikipedia page on it. I also found a site with it seemingly synced properly for this idea to work. And it kind of does! And no, I didn't do any drugs beforehand. Here's the video: Dark Side of the Rainbow.

Still Skeptical?
-As soon as Miss Gultch (wicked witch of the west) is seen riding her bike for the first time, the ringing from "Time" starts.
-One song includes the line "no one told you when to run" which is sung when Dorothy is running away from the farm with Toto.

There's a lot more, watch the video to see what i'm talking about. And I think a Pink Floyd song quote goes well with what I'm talking about.

Thursday, Thursday, Gotta Get Down on Thursday!

I have that song in my head AGAIN. :(

And so, followers who do not exist, I shall again entertain you with my life.

Today I went to see the junior high school's production of Annie. Totally worth seeing if you live nearby. It was great to see my younger friends do their show, it really brought back memories of when I was younger. But now I've got to get ready for my own show, which opens in like 2 weeks.

This weekend the the Wells High Jazz Band, including myself, will be performing at Johnathan's restaurant in Ogunquit, as well as other band members playing various things. It starts at 6:30, so it's another thing to see if you live nearby.

And I'm getting ready to audition for yet another play. It's Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and my friend Kaitlyn's directing it. Not sure of when performance dates will be, but I can't wait. It'll be my first Shakespeare play, so this will be interesting. I should also point out that Kaitlyn has a blog too, it's called Life, Living, and Poetry.

Running out of song quotes, got any good ones, invisible readers?

Home At Last!

Well, so the rock-a-thon ended at 4PM on Saturday. But I wanted to take a nap until like 8 when I would get up to eat dinner, but instead I slept until 8AM this morning. Not too shabby. I took lots of video clips which I will compile and upload to my YouTube (dimitri13579) and then embed here.

In the meantime I will try to find a way to get "Friday" by Rebecca black out of my head.

EDIT: The files will not upload to YouTube because it will not accept wlmp files. Trying to find a file converter now.

EDIT 2: I'm an idiot. I didn't export the file.

EDIT 3: All three are being uploaded. But the first one is still in progress, and when it started, YouTube said it would take two and a half hours.

EDIT 4: Part One has finished.

EDIT 5: Part two is up. Part 3 say 71 minutes remaining. Look at the picture I posted above again.

TOO MANY EDITS: And finally, Part 3!

Slacking off...

Well to be honest, I shouldn't be posting right now because I'm supposed to be doing research for a school project, but I'm a huge procrastinator, so I'll get it done... eventually.

The big thing to talk about right now is still the Rock-a-thon, that will take place tomorrow. I'll bring my flip camera, which is still busted, but I'll put up with it until I can afford to buy a new one. I probably won't get to post tomorrow because it starts right after rehearsal for the school play tomorrow. But expect one as soon as I get some sleep into my system after it's over with footage from the event. But my camera can only hold 24 hours, so unless someone is willing to let me use their laptop to put files on my flash drive, that's all i can record. But i don't want to upload a two-hour video, and probably can't upload it to YouTube. But I'll open up movie maker and see what I can do. If there's enough going on, I may do 2 parts.

Now, remember how I was worried about not being ready in time for the musical I'm in? Well it turns out I'll be fine, I'm just going to have to practice a bit on my own time. If you live in the York county area, I highly recommend going to see it.

And so, back to my homework. Bleh.

It be a long 'un!

So basically I flipped out at my mom for not letting me hang out with my friends and she took my cell phone away. Sad face. But I'll be fine.

Now on a separate subject, I'd like to take the time to say happy birthday to my dad! His birthday is tomorrow and I got him a present I'm sure he'll love. He's actually got a blog of his own about making homemade ice cream. Here's the link to it if anyone wants to check it out.

Now, there's about a week left until the rock-a-thon which I'm sure I brought up before. I'm going to take the time to tell you guys a bit about that. As I've mentioned, I am a proud band geek. The rock-a-thon is a fundraiser we do to raise money for the band. It's especially important this year because we're going to Williamsburg soon. What we do is get sponsors and then bring rocking chairs to the school and sit in them and hang out... for 24 hours.

It's not as boring as it sounds, we get breaks where people go play basketball in the gym or just walk through the dark hallways at the school while no one's there. People even bring xboxes and hook them up to the HD TV that the school bought for the cafeteria for absolutely no reason at all. Sounds fun, right?

Now, i'm going to bring my flip camera to the rock-a-thon and record some of the things that go om, and put it on my youtube, and even embed it here. I don't have a laptop, so I can't get on the blog from school, but i'll most likely be tweeting throughout the day. @tim95f in case you didn't see my other posts. But the thing is, I dropped my flip from the top of a fire tower a few weeks ago. It still records, but the screen is all messed up and it freezes if you hold it wrong. I'm looking into getting a new one.

I also put some new videos on YouTube, they're just me and my brothers, Kevin and Tucker, messing around in our room. Here's the links: A Word From Our Sponsor and Our Product Song. Check them out!

See ya soon, internet!

Anyone Miss Me?

I hadn't blogged in five days, did anyone miss me? I doubt it, considering I still don't have any followers.

So, first order of business. The dance last Friday was pretty epic, but nothing particularly interesting or funny happened. I just wanted to say I had a good time.

Secondly, I got to use an actual Bari Sax at Jazz Band tonight, before now I've been practicing on an alto. The first thing I thought when I saw it was "this thing is freaking huge!" Second thing: "That's what she said." If you've ever seen or played a baritone sax, you'll know what I mean.

Now here's something I never mentioned before. I have a part in my school's production of The Wizard Of Oz. I play the Tin Man. Now, auditions were a little over a month ago, and the show opens in like four weeks, and in my opinion, THAT'S NOT ENOUGH TIME. Sorry, but I just had to voice my frustration about it somewhere.

Well, that's all I have too say for now, I'll blog again in at least a week.

Haircut, LOL

So today I got my haircut. That's all I have to say in this post.

-Tim

LOL, just kidding!
Actually, there's not that much going on for me to talk about, except there's this dance at my school I'm going to tomorrow night. And I am really pumped! I'm totally going to ask the DJ to put on What Is Love by Haddaway and bob my head like the guys from Night At The Roxbury. I love that movie. When I turn 21, me and my best friend are going club hopping in Miami. That's how awesome we think that movie is.

And on the subject of the dance tomorrow night, my agenda is pretty much booked the next four weekends. I've got the dance, then a turkey dinner to support the marching band (we're going to Virginia, so I have to raise some money), then the rock-a-thon (more details in future posts), and finally I get to play baritone sax with the jazz band at a restaurant in Ogunquit, which my first performance on bari sax, so wish me luck!

I've got to think of an original closing for my posts now, and then my blog will be even more awesome.

Snow Day, Sort Of...

The title is pretty much self-explanatory. Today was supposed to be my first day back from February break. But then I guess there was supposed to be some snow that would turn to ice. But get this: THERE WASN'T. So they basically cancelled school for no reason.

So basically I just chilled at home today, but boring everyone with details isn't the best way to get people to read my blog. So I'll just say that I watched the Oscars last night, and I'm cool with how everything turned out. Except that I had never heard of The King's Speech, which, if you weren't watching, won like four things including best picture. I was totally rooting for Inception, which is currently one of my favorite movies.

And now I just want to point out that I have a twitter, which you should definitely follow, which is @tim95f. I also have a youtube channel where you can watch my half-witted attempts at comedy. It's dimitri13579.

Hello Internet!

Hi. I'm Tim and if you're reading this then that means you're reading my blog. That's right. I have a blog. I'm awesome. So, I won't post about anything specific. Mostly just what pops into my head. Or anything cool that happened. The name of the blog comes from the fact that I love root beer, and I love rock and roll music. Can't really get more simple than that. Now, I'll try to post at least once a week, but I might forget. It happens. And I just had the best idea: End posts with a quote from a song! I'll try that now.
